DESCRIPTION:Course Title – Unaccredited Slinger/Banksman Course ( 1 Day ) – £245.00+vat – per delegate \nAccreditation/Certification – CWTS Certification ( 2 Years ) \nWho Should Attend – This course is aimed at giving an introduction to Slinger/Banksman training which will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to safely carry out basic Slinger/Banksman operations. \nCourse Aims – For delegates to have a basic understanding of slinging and signalling. \nCourse Content – \n\nUnderstand relevant legislation applicable to lifting operations\nIdentify common unsafe practices and probable consequences\nRelate to crane lifting related incidents\nUnderstand basic functions of a crane\nUnderstand crane hand and radio signals\nUnderstand lifting operation risk assessment\nUnderstand responsibilities of a Slinger/Banksman\nUnderstand safe and correct methods of slinging loads\, correct use and care of equipment (includes pre-use examination of equipment and identification of defects)\nPractical training including team based exercises\n\nGeneral Information – Delegates will be required to supply the necessary PPE (Hard hat\, hi-viz\, coveralls\, safety boots and gloves for the practical element of training.
