Course Title – Unaccredited Slinger/Banksman Course ( 1 Day ) – £230.00
Accreditation/Certification – CWTS Certification ( 2 Years )
Who Should Attend – this course is aimed at giving an introduction to Slinger/Banksman training which will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to safely carry out basic Slinger/Banksman operations.
Course Aims – For delegates to have a basic understanding of slinging and signalling.
Course Content –
- Understand relevant legislation applicable to lifting operations
- Identify common unsafe practices and probable consequences
- Relate to crane lifting related incidents
- Understand basic functions of a crane
- Understand crane hand and radio signals
- Understand lifting operation risk assessment
- Understand responsibilities of a Slinger/Banksman
- Understand safe and correct methods of slinging loads, correct use and care of equipment (includes pre-use examination of equipment and identification of defects)
- Practical training including team based exercises
General Information – Delegates will be required to supply the necessary PPE (Hard hat, hi-viz, coveralls, safety boots and gloves for the practical element of training.
