DESCRIPTION:Course information \nCourse Title – LEEA Slinger/Banksman Novice course – £450.00+vat – per delegate \nAccreditation/Certification – LEEA accreditation and Certificate (3 Years) \nWho Should Attend – The course is aimed at personnel wishing to be involved with the slinging of loads and signalling of cranes. It is also beneficial to line management\, HSE advisors and other personnel with a responsibility for safe crane lifting operations. \nCourse Aims – The LEEA Accredited Slinger/Banksman training course is designed for candidates with or without experience of Slinger/Banksman duties but have no formal qualification. The course will provide delegates with the basic knowledge of activities associated with the combined roles and the safety & regulatory requirements of those activities. \nCourse Content – \n\nUnderstand relevant legislation applicable to lifting operations\nIdentify common unsafe practices and probable consequences relating to crane lifting related incidents.\nUnderstand basic functions of a crane\nUnderstand crane hand and radio signals\nUnderstand lifting operations\, risk assessments and lift plans\nUnderstand responsibilities of a Slinger/Banksman\nUnderstand safe and correct methods of slinging loads\, correct use and care of equipment (includes pre-use examination of equipment and identification of defects)\nPractical training including team based exercises\n\nGeneral Information – Delegates will be required to supply the necessary PPE (Hard hat\, hi-viz\, coveralls\, safety boots and gloves for the practical element of training.
