Course Title – LEEA Slinger/Banksman Refresher course – £295.00+vat – per delegate

Accreditation/Certification – LEEA accreditation and Certificate (3 Years)

Who Should Attend – This refresher course is aimed at personnel wishing to renew their knowledge of slinging of loads and signalling of cranes. It is also beneficial to line management, HSE advisors and other personnel with a responsibility for safe crane lifting operations.

Course Aims – The LEEA Accredited Slinger/Banksman training course is designed for candidates with  experience of Slinger/Banksman duties but have no formal qualification. The course will provide delegates with a refreshed basic knowledge of activities associated with the combined roles and the safety & regulatory requirements of those activities.

Course Content –

• Understand relevant legislation applicable to lifting operations
• Identify common unsafe practices and probable consequences relating to crane lifting related incidents.
• Understand basic functions of a crane
• Understand crane hand and radio signals
• Understand lifting operations, risk assessments and lift plans
• Understand responsibilities of a Slinger/Banksman
• Understand safe and correct methods of slinging loads, correct use and care of equipment (includes pre-use examination of equipment and identification of defects)
• Practical training including team based exercises

General Information – Delegates will be required to supply the necessary PPE (Hard hat, hi-viz, coveralls, safety boots and gloves for the practical element of training.
